Durant will break the NBA scoring record

  1. Srs.. bump this in 16 years or whatever. He chills most of the game and still averages 28 year in and year out. He doesn't play physical like LeBron or Westbrook so as long as he doesn't have any freak injuries his game will transfer.over when he's an old man. Even when he gets old he can play a Ray Allen role and.will still be putting up 12-15 ppg well into his 40's

He's the hero the Misc deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So, we'll mock him, because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. The King of Aesthetics. Zyzz

Kobe was much more of a slasher when he was younger. Agreed that he should get the credit for adapting his game over the years, but I don't think that's relevant to KD.

    Agreed with OP.

All he has to do is play until 40 and average 23 ppg.. considering he'will likely be averaging 27-29 for the next 7 years.. he will be able.to average lower later on. But his game transfers the best to old man ball and if anyone will do it its him

of course all of this is barring injuries

  10. If he had a selfish mentality like Kobe then he would easily average 35-40 pts a game.

  11. Dude is a pure scorer, and he doesn't rely much on his athleticism. He has a really finesse game, so he will definitely have longevity in this league. If he had a selfish mentality like Kobe then he would easily average 35-40 pts a game. Not with Mr Westbrick he can't

lol he dunks all the time and relies on that quickness to get pass defenders

  14. kobe is an exceptional case. ain't going to find another player like him in perhaps decades, to be scoring 30 and playing at a high level nearly 20 years in the league. He's about a quarter of the way there, and he's probably just now entering his prime.

And I disagree entirely on age. The reason why I think the last couple years of the NBA have been so exciting and competitive is because the last class of superstars has hung on and maintained a high level of play for so long. Nash and Kidd are still highly effective point guards, Paul Pierce is still dropping 20 a game, Tim Duncan was still the best 4 in the playoffs last spring. Hell the Knicks as a team are an average 34 years old. I think the players are more nutrition savvy than ever before, and sports training and medicine are improving faster than these guys can age.

I think KD could be dropping 15+ at 40.
