Fitness and Health Guide for Busy Moms A guide to fitness and health for mothers Wed Apr 23, 2010 When you?re busy balancing work, children, and family life in general, you may feel that not enough time on the day of health and fitness. The word ?exercise? does not seem to fit into their vocabulary. But there good news. With just a little daily commitment, you can achieve good health and fitness at any time without adding stress to your already busy schedule.

Start with slow exercises and build strength

Get started slow and easy exercises you can handle. do 20 to 30 minutes of exercise or activity each day or at least several times a week. Start with less strenuous activities and form work to more vigorous exercise as you build muscle strength. This will improve your fitness and health, without putting too much strain on your body, especially if you?ve been inactive for a time.

Some Examples of low physical activity could try include walking, playing outdoors with their children (ball, tag, volleyball, badminton, kite flying, etc.), walking the dog, mowing the lawn or gardening, housework, stairs on foot or by bicycle. When you want to have fun with their children, opt for the park instead of ice cream. Be aware of physical activity in everything you do. This will help your children to exercise and without feeling pressured to /> If you work outside the home, you can stroll during breaks. Even a daily 15-minute walk can make a big difference!

Increased activity

As your body becomes stronger, you can choose to add a bit of aerobic exercise into your daily routine. Do this slowly and increase the intensity and length of your aerobic activity in short increments so as not to overdo it. The Aerobic exercise helps you burn more calories and improve heart health.

Some examples of aerobic fitness activities include brisk walking or jogging, cycling, dancing, swimming, skating, skiing, step, or racquet sports. You can also enroll in an aerobics class, if you feel you are ready to commit to it several times a week. Or, there are DVDs that teach aerobics at home.

Another way to increase physical activity is to invest in exercise equipment like a treadmill, the fitness band, yoga mat, ab wheel, exercise weights, row machine, or stationary bike. These will allow training in the comfort of your own home with the same results as physical activities outdoors.

Pamper Your muscles

sure to pamper your muscles a little before and after workouts. Stretching before exercise and after ?cooling down? after allowing your muscles to relax. Also, take relaxing baths after a workout or at night before bed to help muscles and the body to relax. This will make training more enjoyable and give you hope every day.

Supplement your diet for better health and fitness

To improve your fitness efforts, supplement your diet with nutrients such as proteins and amino acids and other vitamins and minerals. There are nutritional shakes, protein shakes, vitamins, supplements, nutrition bars, and other elements to improve your diet as you increase your physical activity . This will also improve your overall health. Look for vitamins that are designed specifically for women
