In Focus with Martin Sheen Taking a Look at Veterans? Assistance

In Focus is looking at programs around the country that are helping veterans with the challenges of returning to civilian life after duty overseas.

The producers of In Focus with Martin Sheen are pleased to announce an upcoming report highlighting a variety of programs that are helping the growing veteran population around the country.

In Focus with Martin Sheen is an independently produced television program airing in markets around the country. The show is hosted by the legendary Martin Sheen, who is entering his second half-century in American entertainment. With the war in Iraq over and a scheduled reduction in the American presence in Afghanistan, thousands of American military personnel are coming home. For some of these veterans, adapting to civilian life can be difficult. In Focus Martin Sheen PBS is talking to community leaders about how local organizations are helping vets with the help of large nationwide groups. This includes help with education, job training and placement, and reducing the number of homeless veterans on the streets.
